I'm actually playing a new Zelda title! It's been too long a wait, but it's here now. That feeling of wide-eyed wonderment and that new world smell. I picked up the game as soon as the Gamestop opened and immediately went to Dad's to play it. Hung out there, went home with the Wii, and continued playing. In 8+ hours I just beat the first dungeon.
For first day impressions, I'm already willing to claim that Skyward Sword is everything I expect and want from a Zelda game. Gameplay progression is improved, except that it took forever to get a sword. I'm very interested to see what all the Twilight Princess references lead up to, especially since most of the hype made it a direct lead-in to Ocarina. I know I was gonna love this game regardless, but Skyward Sword is showing a lot of promise.
